Nervo

In the dynamic realm of fashion, music, and songwriting, the Nervo Twins, Miriam and Olivia Nervo, have emerged as Australian icons, seamlessly blending their talents to create a harmonious symphony that transcends boundaries. Born and raised in the picturesque Melbourne suburb of Ivanhoe, their journey from the corridors of education to the global stages of music is a narrative woven with dedication, resilience, and unparalleled success.

Early Beginnings and Modelling Career

Miriam and Olivia's formative years unfolded in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Ivanhoe. Educated at the prestigious Genazzano FCJ College in Kew, the twins not only excelled academically but also immersed themselves in the school's vibrant musical and dramatic culture. Their foray into the world of modelling commenced with the Chadwick Models Agency in Australia, marking the beginning of a successful career on the fashion runway. As Ambassadors to the L'Oreal Fashion Festival, they carved a niche for themselves in the Australian fashion scene by the age of 16.

A Shift to Music

While their success in modelling was undeniable, the Nervo Twins harbored a deeper passion for music. Despite being accepted into the Opera Australia academy, the allure of a pop music-focused career proved irresistible. At 18, a Melbourne-based music producer recognized their vocal prowess and invited them to lend their voices to his demo songs. This marked the turning point as they signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, embarking on a remarkable songwriting journey.

Songwriting Prowess

The twins' songwriting prowess quickly gained recognition when they penned "Negotiate with Love" for British pop sensation Rachel Stevens, reaching number ten in 2006. This success set the stage for an illustrious career as they went on to write for global artists such as Kesha, Richard Grey, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ashley Tisdale, and even the iconic Pussycat Dolls. Their crowning achievement came with co-writing David Guetta & Kelly Rowland's number one dance hit, "When Love Takes Over," earning them a Grammy and dominating charts worldwide.

A Pivotal Year - 2010

The year 2010 marked a pivotal moment for Nervo as they graced the Ultra Main Stage during the Winter Music Conference. Securing a worldwide recording deal with Virgin Records/EMI Music, they ventured into a joint venture to discover and produce new artists. Their independent UK-based dance record label, Loaded Records, saw the release of the club single "This Kind Of Love," which soared to the top of world club charts and music week charts.

Global Recognition and Collaborations

In 2011, Nervo embarked on a tour opening for Britney Spears on the Femme Fatale Tour, captivating audiences with their electrifying sets. Collaborations with Afrojack, Like Mike & Dimitri Vegas on "The Way We See The World" and "We're All No One" featuring Afrojack & Steve Aoki propelled them further into the international spotlight. Their signing with Wilhelmina Models in August 2011 showcased their influence not only in music but also in the global fashion industry.

Continued Success and Creative Ventures

As their musical journey unfolded, Nervo continued to make waves in the industry. Writing tracks for David Guetta's "Nothing but the Beat" album, collaborating with Avicii on the single "YGLA (You're Gonna Love Again)," and securing an iTunes number one with Agnes Carlsson's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" affirmed their status as prolific songwriters and collaborators.

A Bright Future

The year 2012 saw Nervo playing at Creamfields in Brazil alongside Fat Boy Slim, further solidifying their presence on the global music scene. With a monthly show on Sirius Radio in the USA titled NERVOnation, the twins continue to share their musical journey with audiences worldwide. Their single "We Are All No One" reaching number one on the UK Club Charts and the forthcoming release of "YGLA (You're Gonna Love Again)" produced by Avicii only foreshadows more success in the years to come.

The Nervo Twins, with their unique blend of talent, determination, and a magnetic stage presence, have crafted a narrative that goes beyond the conventional boundaries of the fashion and music industry, leaving an indelible mark on the global entertainment landscape.
