Early Ambitions
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Peggy Gou relocated to London at the age of 14 to complete her high school education. She initially aspired to become a singer and exhibited her musical talent early, composing her first piece at the age of eight. Despite her classical piano training, Gou briefly abandoned her passion, opting to pursue a fashion degree at the London College of Fashion.
Rediscovery of Music
During her studies, Gou reignited her love for music. She embarked on music production after initially experimenting with mixing in Korea alongside her then-boyfriend. Her first taste of the music scene came with performances at London's Cirque Le Soir nightclub, leveraging her connections.
A Determined Journey
Driven by the ambition to become the youngest and the first female Korean DJ to perform at Berlin's iconic Berghain club, Gou made the bold decision to commit herself entirely to music, setting aside her fashion studies.
Swift Ascent
Gou's rapid ascent in the music world began in 2016, with the release of her first double EP titled "September War." Shortly after moving to Berlin, she graced the decks at Berghain. Over the years, she has produced four EPs, embarked on her first American tour, and secured a month-long BBC Radio 1 residency in 2017. Notably, she performed at Coachella.

Peggy Gou's creative endeavors are not confined to music. At Dazed's 2017 Off-White party, she crossed paths with representatives from New Guards Group, who extended an offer to launch her own label. Her high-end streetwear line, seamlessly blending traditional Korean mythological motifs with club culture graphics, made its dazzling debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2019. Yet, it remains exclusive and is yet to grace store shelves.
Record Label and Accolades
In 2019, Gou further expanded her influence by announcing the establishment of her record label. Her contributions to the music and fashion realms led to her inclusion in Forbes' prestigious "30 under 30 Asia Entertainment & Sports" list.
